Bewitching Stitching: a beginners guide to the magic of embroidery

Join the DHC for Bewitching Stitching! A beginners guide to the magic of embroidery, led by Oklahoma fiber artist, Katie Graham. Katie will teach us 4 basic embroidery stitches and discuss the magical uses of embroidery through the ages. Bring your own project or download the provided template day of the call! 

Here are a list of supplies you’ll need if you’d like to follow along: 

• embroidery needle

• embroidery thread

• cotton fabric

• 8 inch or larger embroidery hoop 

• fabric scissors 

• Water soluble fabric marker (used to free hand your design or “stick and stitch” water soluble embroidery paper (used to print your design)
